Bear Bows

Bear Archery owes its existence to one man: Fred Bear.

After becoming fascinated with bow hunting in his early years, Fred began to craft his own hunting tools based on personal needs and experience. And they were very, very good. During off hours of his regular job, he made bows for a close circle of friends who loved his work.

The demand for his skill got so high that he finally founded Bear Archery in the 1930's so he could hire people to help keep up.

He continued to help design and promote Bear bows until his dying day in 1988, and his personal, expert touch still shines forth clearly. Bear Archery has continued in Fred's tradition of producing some of the best bows in the industry.
